Animal Abuse

Hello,

I am writing to report animal abuse I observed yesterday. I am fairly certain they do not know I was there watching, but there were these men dressed in black (although they had white socks on) and they were just beating this cub. I am not sure where the mama bear was, but they kept taunting this cub. It was awful and very painful to watch. I had never seen anything like it. I figured since it was a bear it would attack these men, but it never even put up a good fight. Are cubs always this way?

Please let me know if you need anymore information. I would love to help in your investigation.

Thanks,
Sasha

Dear Sasha,

Thank you for contacting PETA. Please tell us more about this incident. Where, exactly, did it take place? Do you know the names of the men involved? Have you reported this to local authorities? If so, what was their response? Finally, what was the final disposition of the cub? Was he killed, or did he survive? And if he survived, where is he located? We look forward to hearing more.

Best regards,

Tori Perry, PETA

Tori,

This incident took place in Illinois, just north of downtown Chicago. I have not reported the incident to authorities although I did see mention of it on the news last night. Cub supporters seemed very upset after hearing news of the incident (and rightfully so).

I am almost certain that the cub survived and I'm sure he is still located around the same area. If anyone should Dye, its the men that did it to this cub. But why didn't the cub beat these men? I thought they were ferocious. It is possible the men might have snuck up on it in their black uniforms, but I would think their long, white socks would stand out. There just seemed to be something lacking with this cub. It just didn't seem very defensive and it barely even hit these men. Perhaps years of agony?

Anyway, I am no expert and I don't claim to be. Should I go back to the same area and see if I can find this cub?

Please let me know what I should do. I am concerned.
Sasha

Thank you for your delightful sense of humor. I will now return to the over 300 reports of animal cruelty and abuse that my department fields each week.

  1. That's weird. I heard the Cub got its revenge over the Men In Black the next day. Look:
